If you’re going to lose the 10MM anyways, why include it in the set?

I use the 10, but aint nobody uses the 11.

Not shown: 8-pack of 10mm sockets on the next peg over.

I’d prefer a set with two 10's instead of a 9mm TBH

that’s not even possible. No one uses 10mm.... because no one can find it.

Sure you do, you use the 11 when the 10 is lost and you don’t care if you strip the head of the 10mm bolt.

Those will just get lost in shipping.

I’ve bought a set of drill bits that contained multiples of the most common sizes, especially small ones like 1/8" - why not include TWO 10mm?
This, on the other hand, is just nonsense.

The corner lamp housing retainer nuts on my car are 11mm.
But yeah, most of the time I use my 11mm, it’s just a test fit to verify that a mystery fasten er is indeed 7/16".

You do need 11 mm size if you happen to own a car that has M7 bolts/nuts. My 204 has those in many places.

I dont understand why nobody sells packs of just 10mm sockets. There is a definitely a market for like ten packs of 10mm sockets.

I have three inside my engine compartment right now.

Shake the car vigorously. The sockets should fall out onto the ground

Right? I bought this months ago because the ratchet was cheaper in the set than by itself... I go to use it this weekend and IMAGINE MY SURPRISE.

I have the Husky branded version, still made by Stanley ... it’s actually decent.

I still chuckle every time people talk about losing 10mm sockets. I've never even come close to losing one.

In this universe. I like to imagine every lost 10mm gets sucked into an alternate universe and people there get frustrated as they sort through their pile of sockets looking for something other than a 10mm.

Hmm, my Stanley ratchet set came with 2 10mm sockets, one 3/8" drive and on 1/4" drive. I think the only time I’ve used the 1/4" one was for a situation where I needed an extension, and the 3/8"->3/8" one was too long, but the 3/8"->1/4" one fit.

Ah but I’ve lost a $50 11mm ratchet that I left on a brake bleeder. That’s worth five 10mm cheap sockets.
But I’ve also found more tools than I lost. And I’ve had them both replaced under warranty so I get shiny new tools.
But I forgot I also lost a Matco 1/4 ratchet which cost me $100.

I’m not sure I’ve ever used a 9mm. I’ve used an 11, definitely 8,7, and 6, but I can’t recall a time I’ve used a 9. Now I have to go see if there are wear marks on it.
